Florida-Worst State for Mortgage Fraud
With the rise of the struggling housing market in recent years, there has also been a significant rise in fraudulent activity. Lexis Mortgage Asset Research institute reported that the number of Mortgage Fraud Suspicious Activity Reports increased five percent from 2009 to 2010. It was estimated that the mortgage industry suffered more than 1.5 billion in mortgage fraud related losses last year. For the second consecutive year, the state of Florida took the top spot on the LexisNexis list as the worst state for mortgage fraud. Over twenty seven percent of all fraudulent or “misinterpreted” loans reported and investigated originated from Florida properties. The state of Florida has more than three times the expected amount of reported mortgage fraud. The Sunshine State ranked 302 on the MFI (Mortgage Fraud Index) from loans in 2010. The state has been a foreclosure hub for the past several years.

The Rise of Solar Panels
According to naturalnews.com, the U.S. is set to break the record for the highest amount of solar panels being installed this year compared to previous years. This is due to advancements in technology, which make the process more cost effective to produce, as well as maintain. The semiconductors that are used within a solar panel are the key factor which makes them affordable to the common household. In 2010 this all changed when the California Institute of Technology developed a new solar panel which only uses two percent semiconductors. The other ninety eight percent of the solar panel is constructed of plastic, which is affordable to produce and acquire. The solar panel market is flourishing in the United States at an exponential rate. Based on data released by the Solar Market Insight Report, the solar panel industry in the U.S. has the most stable growth and attractiveness. Although we seem to be rising to the top, we still have quite a long way to go before we finally catch up to the industry leaders, Germany and Italy.
